🏠 Real-Life Example: Allegheny Street Fire
On February 15, 2025, our department was dispatched to a residential structure fire at 1205 Allegheny Street in Hollidaysburg. The fire originated in a first-floor office, and thanks to a crucial action by the homeowner—closing the door before leaving—the fire was contained to just that room.
Crews arrived to find smoke showing, but the fire was quickly extinguished and brought under control within 20 minutes. The closed door prevented the fire, heat, and smoke from spreading through the house, significantly reducing damage.
